Achieving CMMC Compliance – Leveraging the use of ESPs in your company (W02c)
As the Department of War moves forward with enforcing the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program, defense contractors and subcontractors must ensure their environments meet the required maturity level to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). For many organizations, this challenge can feel overwhelming — that’s where External Service Providers (ESPs) come in.
In this engaging and expert-led session, attendees will learn how to strategically leverage ESPs such as Managed Service Providers (MSPs), MSSPs, and cloud vendors to accelerate CMMC compliance without losing control or accountability. We’ll explore what security and compliance capabilities can be inherited from an ESP, and — just as importantly — what cannot. Participants will also gain insight into identifying “bad egg” ESPs and avoiding too-good-to-be-true offers that could put compliance at risk.
