Biography
Omar Santos is a recognized leader in the cybersecurity community. He is the Distinguished Engineer (Sr. Director) at Cisco leading Artificial Intelligence (AI) Security Research, vulnerability research, and disclosure. He works with senior management, executives, engineers, and industry-peers during the investigation and resolution of security vulnerabilities in Cisco products, including cloud services. Omar has designed, implemented, and supported numerous secure networks for Fortune 100 and 500 companies and the U.S. government.
Omar is the co-chair of the Coalition for Secure AI (CoSAI); the chair of the Common Security Advisory Framework (CSAF) developing new ways to automate security vulnerability disclosure and management. This effort led to the creation of the CSAF ISO standard, including support for the Vulnerability Exploitability eXchange (VEX). He is the founder and co-chair of OpenEoX. Omar served in the board of the OASIS Open standards organization, was the co-chair of the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST) PSIRT SIG, and led the DEF CON Red Team Village.
