NISTIR 8425 and the Whole-Product Evidence Model for IoT (T00b)
This talk explains why NISTIR 8425 matters to developers far beyond consumer-retail labeling, and shows how NIST’s profile applies to the entire IoT product, which forces developers to treat firmware, device configuration, companion apps, update services, cloud APIs, and user-facing documentation as one evidence package rather than isolated deliverables.
